Jeanene’s love of animals, especially dogs and cats, began when she was growing up on a farm in Nebraska. Through 4-H, Jeanene had the opportunity to train and show pigs, cows and dogs. She learned that it is much easier to get animals to do what you want when they are rewarded.

Throughout Jeanene’s career as a software engineer, engineering manager and product manager, she always made time to train and compete with her dogs in agility, obedience, rally and herding. With clicker training, she discovered that her dogs learned faster and developed stronger behaviors. Jeanene became very interested in how dogs learn. This passion has become a new career as a dog trainer. Jeanene helps others discover the same successes with their dogs. Jeanene’s dog training philosophy is based on developing dogs that work happily with their humans and are excited to learn new things. Well-trained dogs do what we ask because they want to, not because they are forced to.

Jeanene lives in Allen, TX, with her three rough collies: Ocean, Jasper, and Gryffin. She holds a BS in computer science from the University of Nebraska and an MBA from the University of Dallas.
